• Consider sitting towards the front where its easier for your little ones to engage.
  • Quietly explain the parts of the service and the actions of the pastors, musicians and other worship leaders.
  • Sing the hymns, pray, and voice the responses. Children learn behavior by mimicking you.
  • If you have to leave the sanctuary with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back! As Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.”
  • Please know that we have a “Crying Room” at the back, made just for fussy children, and their frazzled parents. Feel free to use it whenever you need to; the large windows and speaker system will allow you to continue worshiping with everyone else, even as your child makes a bit of a fuss, needs a change, or simply wants to play a game or read a book.

Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God, and to one another. Let them know that they are at home in this house of worship.

Please let you child use the reverse side of this card to draw and doodle.

TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR CHURCH…

The presence of children is a gift to the Church and they remind us that our church is growing. Please welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement to their parents.

TO THE CHILDREN…
Feel free to draw or write on the back of the pieces of paper with all these words on it… they’re in all the pews and they’re just for you!
